This hurt.  My legs were fine, but my breathing hurt.  My throat is still killing me.  I PR'd by 17 seconds since last season (I think).  The reason for my crappy breathing was probably that fact that I hadn't ran since Wednesday since Trilogy went down to NAU.

I ran with Susan today for the first time in months.  It was way unexpected, so as I went for a run at 10 am after eating breakfast, I almost died.  I  was really dizzy and nauseous.  I am  glad to get going again though.

I went again with Susan, this time at 7:45, which is about20 degrees cooler.  It felt so good to run and not die, because i was really discouraged from yesterday.  We ran from washington ele to the car dealership after firestation hill.  I was a tad nervous about the hill, but it went great and I am glad I did it.

I am kind of just winging it as far as where I am running, so the distance is a little iffy.  Anyway, I felt really good today.

I ran all over the place today, saw Mrs. Martineau, and had a nice run.  I had some serious hills that began to burn eventually, but that means that something good is happening.

well,  it seems like I take 5 steps forward one week and then 10 back when I go to girls camp the next week.  However,  this morning was really nice, and I feel like I was able to mentally get into the groove and push myself past the fact that I wasn't breathing that great.  Heres to breathing a little better tomorrow.

Well, this was the first time that I have taken first in anything concerning running. BUT my time was really crappy, six minutes worse than my PR.  I guess that goes to show what happens when you don't run for 5ish months.  So, when you want to feel better about yourself, go run a 5k in a really small town where half the population is under 12.

I ran with my uncle the whole way, which pushed me hard and kept me going at a steady pace.

well, I got together with alyssa to go running today, and it was a struggle.  I was boating all day yesterday, and this morning I foudn out that skiing and running do not mix.  Anyway, we walked for about a quarter mile and quite enjoyed ourselves, just talking and catching up.

so, I ran this 21 seconds faster than the one in Bunkerville, so hopefully there is some improvement there.  I felt awesome during this race, except for when I was coming down around the golf course next to the canyon road.  That was the point where I started to think what am I doing? Why on earth am I running...kill me now...that sort of thing.  But then my grandparents and aunt drove my and gave me moral support, so I was able to finish the last mile and a half going strong.  Josh did really well.  He took second overall, and I am so proud of him!

again, we were up at 3 in the morning so we could beat the sun on the way out.  It went a lot faster than when we were coming in, and it was much cooler. There weren't any drunk indians that came up to us like last time.  When we hit the bottom of the mile-long  switchbacks that would take us up to the parking lot, we ran into a scout troop that was just barely getting down to the bottom. The sun was only about 20 mins behind us, and we barely beat it up to the top.  Too bad they had to hike the remaining 10 miles in the hot arizona sun with their oversized backpacks.:)

So, me and my group got up at about 4 this morning and hiked 11 miles down into Havasupai.  It wasn't bad until we got to the sand on the way to the compground.  We then hiked all over kingdom come to get to the waterfalls.

Went to Little navajo falls and moony today.  I loved it, it was so fun...and jazz.

we got up in the wee hours of the morning (3 am) to beat the sun on the way out.  It went a lot faster than it did coming down, and was much cooler.  We made it to the bottom of the switchbacks with the sun about 10 minutes behind us, and then barely beat it to the top.  Happiness is hiking the whole way in the shade:)

well, I am officially starting workouts again, and I am a little nervous.  I ran 2 miles this morning with a half set of striders.  The track here is AWFUL.  It is basically a road going around a football field.

I ran from my apartment to the track for my warmup, and then did 4 - 1 minute repeats, with 1 minute recovery, which ended up being a mile.  It was a beautiful morning, because it rained last night, and it isn't like St. George, where the next morning is humid and 100 degrees.  I felt really good, and I think that  I will stay on this mileage for a couple of weeks, then move up to 3 and so on, because I am so not in shape anymore.

Well, I did a 1/1 repeat workout for the entire 3 miles.  I was able to finish a lot faster, and I felt like this run was productive.

I put 4 miles for my distance because I went swing dancing tonight and I am pretty sure that is a workout.  My run was 2 miles with striders.  The striders felt really good!

Tried a new workout today.  I ran a total of 2 miles on the track, and then added a stadium on the fourth and eighth lap.  I actually really liked it, and I think I will do it again on wednesday, just cuz it went so well.

I ran the bleacher workout again, and I actually did it right this time.  I think I am finally adjusting to the altitude, but the temperatures keep going down, and we are supposed to have snow in the next couple of weeks...so we will see how long running outside lasts.

Ran a 5k this morning...it was really nice, especially considering that I didn't race it.  I stayed with my little cousin and helped her make it back alive.

I had to run the mile for PE this morning.  My goal was 7:30, and I got 7:25.  it was a good feeling, especially since we just had to run around a gym 24 times because it was so flipping cold outside.  I also went to western swing for two hours.
